Dolce is also a wheelchair-accessible location with restrooms ( male and female options) readily available on-site.
Our Story
Today we’d like to introduce you to Judith Loya.
Back in 2003, at the tender age of 17, I found myself in a situation where I needed to start working to support my family and finance my beauty career aspirations. That’s when an opportunity came knocking—a temporary on-call position as a banquet team member at the prestigious Hilton Hotel. Little did I know that this would be the start of an incredible journey into the world of the banquet industry.
For three months, I immersed myself in the fast-paced environment of the Hilton Hotel, learning the ins and outs of banquet services. My dedication and hard work paid off when they offered me a permanent position in their banquet team. This experience became the foundation of my career.
After completing my studies at beauty school, I embarked on a successful 15-year journey in the beauty industry. However, fate had something different in store for me. A business proposal came my way, and I recognized its potential. It was a unique combination of a gym and a spa, and I saw the opportunity to become an entrepreneur and bring this concept to life.
With a vision in mind, we embarked on a two-and-a-half-year journey of remodeling the building from scratch. It was a labor of love and passion, fueled by the support of my husband’s business and our unwavering determination to meet all the city requirements.
But just as the stars aligned, the unexpected happened—the pandemic struck. Unfortunately, our services were no longer relevant during this challenging time. However, I wasn’t one to give up on my dream. Determined to make that space a successful business, I decided to transform the gym into an event hall, utilizing my family’s resources.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been an incredibly challenging journey, marked by numerous obstacles that tested our resilience. One of the most formidable hurdles we encountered early on was the financial strain. We faced the daunting task of securing funds without any government support for this type of business. In addition, meeting all the necessary safety requirements, such as installing the sprinkler system and addressing electrical issues, seemed like an insurmountable feat with our limited resources.
There were moments when our dreams seemed out of reach, and we questioned whether we would ever be able to overcome these difficulties. However, as fate would have it, we were fortunate enough to cross paths with exceptional vendors who played a pivotal role in turning our dreams into reality. Their unwavering support and partnership not only alleviated our financial burdens but also reignited our hope and determination to see this venture through.
The road to success is rarely smooth, but it is through our unwavering spirit and ability to find solutions that we have persevered. As we move forward, we remain grateful for the valuable lessons learned and the resilience we have developed. Each event held in our hall is a testament to our commitment to bringing joy and creating unforgettable experiences for all who enter our doors.
Finally, after countless hours of hard work, dedication, and a sprinkle of resilience, we opened our doors. Today, we are proud to say that our venue has become one of Aurora, Denver Colorado’s most highly-rated and luxurious event spaces. None of this would have been possible without our incredible team of hardworking employees who pour their heart and soul into providing exceptional service for every event.
